DEC-Nepal is a non-Governmental, non-profit making, non -political Community-based organization running by and for the Persons With Disabilities (Persons with disabilities). The motto of DEC-N is to empower Persons with disabilities by providing access and opportunities to uplift their social, cultural, economic, and environmental status. DEC-N has been duly registered with the District Administration Office (DAO) in Banke (Registration No. 888/064/065) and is affiliated with the Social Welfare Council (Affiliation NO. 23124). It is also affiliated with the National Federation of the Disabled-Nepal (NFDN). DEC-N is also affiliated with the NGO federation and CBR National network. DEC-N has been working with various partners in four key strategies such as advocacy, awareness, networking and capacity building, and service delivery.
Vision
DECN envisages all persons with disabilities who are educated, economically productive, socially included, politically aware, happily living in their own community with full enjoyment of rights and respect.

DECN to be a strong, legitimate, and effective organization with expertise of disability-inclusive and accessible environment for persons with disabilities as well as promote an inclusive society for all.
Launching a prolonged campaign geared toward eliminating social injustices and advocating for the inclusion of Persons with Disabilities in social, economic, and political systems.
Through its self-help development program and projects, DECN has pursued and achieved a considerable increase in the participation of persons with disabilities in their own social, political, and economic development, enjoyment of the justice system. By building the organizational base, and strengthening its leadership and coordination, DECN continues its engagement as a catalyst for raising the voices of the most vulnerable and less heard people with disabilities in Nepal.
