The Dutch Red Cross is part of the largest humanitarian network in the world, the international Red Cross movement. For many people their logo for direct help to people in need: in conflict, post-disaster and domestically. Their strength? Their volunteers.
Mission
Their mission is to prevent and alleviate human suffering wherever, to protect life and health and to ensure respect for human beings. Their special attention is paid to those who are most vulnerable: those who would not or poorly survive without their help, or who would be without health care at risk.
Vision
Their volunteers and through their local presence, they actively contribute to strengthening communities so that in times of greatest need no one stands alone. Through their assistance they want so strengthen the independence of those communities, people who live in it themselves and help others. Based on respect and solidarity.\
