Recognition DWF is ranked the 11th most innovative legal business in Europe in the 2018 Financial Times Innovative Lawyers report. The Financial Times also recognised their CEO of DWF Group Plc Andrew Leaitherland as one of the top ten innovative lawyers in Europe, as a nominee for the Innovative Lawyer Awards in 2018. The DWF Foundation has one purpose: providing funds, resources and support to help local communities achieve their full potential. The DWF Foundation supports registered charities with an impact in one or more of the following areas: - Homelessness - Health & Wellbeing - Employability - Education The Foundation gives grants to initiatives that develop and improve local communities by: - Tackling a specific community issue; - Helping voluntary and community groups become more effective and efficient; - Encouraging the involvement in the community of those too often excluded; and - Enabling young people to develop skills for the benefit of the community. Between its launch in December 2015 and April 2019, the DWF Foundation has given over 100 different grants, totalling over £250,000, to a wide range of charitable organisations. The DWF Foundation is at the heart of DWF, supporting our values and culture of contribution. Each of our offices has its own Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) committee, driving fundraising for the Foundation, and making decisions about local grant giving. The importance of the Foundation to DWF was cemented in March 2019 when, after DWF's successful listing on the London Stock Exchange, DWF donated 1.8m shares to the Foundation, allowing the Foundation to expand its grant-giving programme in both the UK and internationally.
