The East Africa Law Society is the apex regional bar Association of East Africa jointly founded in 1995 by a group of Lawyers with the support of the leadership of the national Bar Association of:

  • - Kigali Bar Association
  • - Law Society of Kenya
  • - Tanganyika Law Society
  • - Uganda Law Society
  • - Zanzibar Law Society

EALS is the largest Professional organization in East Africa, with a specific focus on the professional development of its members as well as promotion of constitutionalism, democracy and good governance, the rule of law and the advancement, promotion and protection of human rights of all people in East Africa and beyond.
