To reach their ultimate goal of creating wealth in the countries where they operate, they have put in place a unique entrepreneur development model:
Enablis is a Canadian non-profit organization founded in 2003 by Quebec entrepreneur Charles Sirois - Chairman of the Board of Telesystem - and Accenture with the support of Global Affairs Canada (GAC, formerly CIDA).
Its mission is to support SME entrepreneurs who create jobs in developing and emerging countries, leading to sustainable economic growth.
Enablis identifies men and women entrepreneurs and nurtures their development through a unique mix of networking, coaching, mentoring and skills acquisitions. Enablis also offers its most advanced members a unique International Mentoring Program matching them with Canadian sucessful business executives.
Enablis is committed to empowering local entrepreneurs and supports them in conjunction with government, private sector and civil society. Enablis operates in West Africa (Ghana and Senegal) and in Latin America (Argentina).
Since is launch in 2004 in South Africa, Enablis has supported over 2,400 entrepreneurs. Each Enablis entrepreneur employ on average eight people.
