The Energy Saving Trust gives impartial, accurate and independent advice to communities and households on how to reduce carbon emissions, how to use water more sustainably and how to save money on energy bills.
We work in partnership with government, local authorities, third sector organisations and businesses. Our activities include:
What we do
Research and reports - Our technical and consumer research plays a fundamental role in progressing the energy efficiency agenda across all sectors. Read about our research.
Partners and support - We work closely with a variety of organisations and businesses which share in the commitment of helping to reduce societal impact on climate change. By working together we aim to inspire change across all sectors.
Policy Work - Energy Saving Trust works with citizens, businesses and governments at all levels to make our homes more energy efficient. Due to our unique dialogue with consumers/households we have developed various policy positions that provide a framework for action that we believe is affordable and deliverable by government.
The Foundation - We have set up Britain’s first energy research foundation to drive research, knowledge and insight into what community energy could mean for all our futures. With so much discussion about communities and localisation, the Foundation aims to lead the way in understanding not only what community energy is about but what works and why. We want to work with interested partners to build our collective knowledge of what the future could look like.
