Their objectives are:
Their approach
The work of those who integrate ELA is inspired by ethical commitment and honesty, the conviction on the importance of the fulfillment of human rights, intellectual, professional and technical solvency, and diversity in terms of professional trajectories and experiences of life.
The full exercise of women's rights is deeply related to the quality of democratic institutions, hence the need for their strengthening. With the recovery of democracy, inequalities between women and men were gradually phased out, at least as regards the enactment of laws. However, the real exercise of rights by women requires that, in addition to their recognition through constitutions and laws, public policies be put in place to enforce those rights.
For this reason, in ELA we consider it crucial to take into account the living conditions of girls, adolescents and women for the correct evaluation, design and proposal of public policies to the relevant authorities as well as to analyze the impact of these policies on the Women's life.
In order for women to claim for the effective fulfillment of their rights, their access to justice must be assured. In their conception, access to justice is a right and the State has the obligation to guarantee it.
