Ewang’an Nadede Advocacy Initiatives (ENAI – Africa) is a local community based non-state actor, established in March, 11th 2010 with its offices in Kitengela – Kajiado county. They are a women led organization that seeks to empower the pastoralist women in their Counties to participate in important decisions on issues that affect them and strengthen advocacy platforms through numerous women, youth groups and faith based /Religious groups to amplify their voice against violation on their human rights as well as embrace peace. Their mission is to improve the quality of life for pastoralist communities by harnessing holistic participation, resource utilization in improving health, food security, education, democracy and governance, natural resource management, gender equality for equitable and sustainable development. In this mission, in line to a vision of a healthy, food secure and developed Pastoral community in Africa Overall Goal is to ensure indigenous Pastoralist communities have their space in Africa, live with dignity and in harmony with each other. ENAI purpose is to offer technical support in designing and implementing participatory holistic approach and development interventions by use of community skills, knowledge and experience on human rights. According to their Philosophy: ”Every human being is a unique individual and that she/he has a right to an environment in which she/he can live with dignity” They are guided by their strategic plan that provides policy framework which is informed by our constitution, organizational policies, Vision 2030, Kenyan constitution and International Sustainable Development Goals with a view of making a difference within target community beneficiaries. Motto: ‘Service beyond duty’ Thematic Areas; Gender Development, Quality Health, Food Security, Education, Democracy & Governance, Social Entrepreneurship, Environment & Natural Resource Management.
