Since 1965, AIRC has continuously supported, through fundraising, the progress of research for the cure of cancer and they spread correct information on the results obtained, on prevention and on therapeutic prospects. At the base of their mission, shared values and principles.
What they do
They financially support Italian scientific research on cancer in its laboratory and clinical aspects, and in particular cancer research projects and scholarships aimed at the professional development of researchers and oncologists, including university and post-university training;
They disseminate the study activities and results of national and international oncological research;
They raise awareness among the population about the importance of prevention and early diagnosis ;
They carry out oncological scientific research activities directly or through universities, research institutes, other public and private bodies, and in particular, the “Fondazione Istituto FIRC di Oncologia Molecolare” (hereinafterIFOM).
An incessant and concrete activity that is only possible thanks to millions of supporters and thousands of volunteers who give their researchers the strength and enthusiasm to continue the battle against cancer.
