The Tunisian Shipping and Docking Company was established on 16 February 1961 with a capital of 200,000 dinars and currently stands at 54,500,000 dinars. The company is active in all maritime commercial ports in the country of Tunisia through its network and its agencies in: Bizerte-Rades-Goulette valley-Sousse-Sfax-Gabes-Zarzis.

 

The company has been using the contract of the container terminal at the port of Rades since 2005 (Order No. 2367 of 4 October 2004 to assign a contract for the exploitation of the flats and warehouses of the public monarch of the port of Tunisia). Shipping and unloading of goods from vessels anchored in the port of Chalk Valley, as well as the start of the year 2009 as part of the exploitation of contracts required for all Tunisian domestic ports (Bizerte, Sousse, Sfax, Gabes and Zarzis) as well as private freight contractors complexes.

 

The company provides handling of more than 69% of the total volume of transit goods in all maritime commercial ports in Tunisia.

 

Within the framework of the rehabilitation and organization of commercial seaports, the company has been keen to achieve the reforms taken in the framework of the reorganization of port activities, which has led to improving the quality of services and upgrading the efficiency of shipping and unloading operations. High quality as well as a set of practical procedures in order to increase productivity and competitiveness and facilitate the delivery and delivery of goods.

 

In keeping with the rapid developments in the field of information and communication technologies, the company is working on the use of modern technologies especially in the field of handling the movement of goods in ports.

Within the framework of Tunisia's active involvement in the digital society, the Tunisian Shipping and Docking Company has been involved in the transport package project and is currently exploiting this system, which aims at increasing the flow of goods and reducing the length of its stay in the ports to 3 days, The physical entry of the vessel to the port and the stripping of the proceedings of their physical nature.
