The Friends of Nature Foundation (NATURAMA) is a non-governmental, non-profit, non-governmental organization created in December 1990 in Burkina Faso. It was recognized by the authorities of Burkina Faso by receipt of declaration No. AN VIII 131 / FP / MAT / SG / DELPAJ.V of 22/04/1991. Its headquarters are in Ouagadougou.
NATURAMA has more than 1,000 members; Natural persons (intellectuals from several fields of competence, model farmers, businessmen, etc.), having in common the concern to work for the propagation and realization of the objectives of the conservation of natural resources, environment. It also includes legal entities, including private companies, several conservation associations and village organizations.
The Foundation is also a chain of actors on the ground whose commitment to the preservation of the environment is obvious (exemplary farmers, exemplary production cooperatives, etc.). It polarizes its action on critical problems of the Environment, and would like to ensure a link between the conservation movement of nature and the operators of socio-economic development.
Mission
The mission of NATURAMA is to promote the ideals of conservation and sustainable development within civil society in Burkina Faso.
Vision
The vision is to position NATURAMA as a strong, viable organization capable of positively influencing the strategies and actions of nature conservation and sustainable development in Burkina Faso and Africa.
PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT OF THE FOUNDATION
In the organizational chart of NATURAMA adopted by the Board of Management in June 1996, it is planned to create a program "Development of the Foundation". This program was created on 28/02/97. On the one hand, it aims to ensure relations with members of the association, provincial clubs, provincial branches, national and international partners and, on the other, to initiate income-generating activities.
Before the formal installation of this program, it should be emphasized that NATURAMA has carried out activities which, because they contribute to the development of the Foundation, will be cited in this section of the activity report. Similarly, the missions and meetings received and carried out by the various program managers will be taken into account in this part of the report.
