About

Gabo Foundation is created by Colombian journalist and Nobel Prize winner for literature Gabriel García Márquez. Since 1995, they have carried out workshops, awards, scholarships, publications and they lead initiatives to transmit Gabo's dream of doing the best journalism in the world to new generations: independent journalism that seeks to investigate, decipher and explain reality in a rigorous, ethical and creative way so that citizens are better informed. Their mission is to promote better journalism and the stimulation of the creativity, with an emphasis on the workshop method and the memory of their founder. They do this through initiatives such as the Gabo Festival, the Gabo Award, the Gabo Center, and the journalistic ethics program.
