Gaspar Garcia Centro de Direitos Humanos - Gaspar Garcia Center for Human Rights

The Gaspar Garcia Center for Human Rights is an ecumenical, non-governmental, non-profit or economic organization. Since 1988, it has worked with low-income people who have their rights violated, giving this population the role of social protagonist. The entity is structured by a body of partners, a coordination and a secretariat-executive. The members, from social organizations and universities, are professionals and political actors who contribute to the accomplishment of the mission of the institution. The coordination, elected from the members, legally represents the organization and follows the daily activities. In order to achieve uniqueness, transversality, articulations in networks and interventions in public policies, the executive secretariat coordinates strategic actions in a participatory way between teams and partners.
