The Global Environmental Forum (GEF) is a non-profit organization located in Tokyo, Japan. Their missions are to conduct and support scientific research on global environmental issues and to disseminate those research findings to the public.

Since its foundation in May 1990, they have actively engaged in many research projects of environmental monitoring, in raising public awareness of environmental issues, and in developing guidelines for environmental management of businesses.
