Pre-investment studies concentrate on establishing the technical, economic and social feasibility of a project, including, but not limited to, general studies, pre-feasibility studies and complementary studies.

The basic design of a project defines its general scope and dimensions, general specifications of the required equipment, the main characteristics of the work and estimated project costs.

The detailed design of a project encompasses construction blueprints and technical specifications, detailed descriptions of all required project equipment, workforce estimations, unit price analyses, budgets, bidding documents, contractor proposal evaluations and commissioning.
