Handicap International Belgium

In 1998, Handicap International started a rehabilitation programme for leprosy victims in Guangxi. A programme for people with disabilities, particularly children, in Tibet followed in 2000. In Bejing, Handicap International set up a platform of local organisations of people with disabilities. Their teams work every day in some sixty countries. They help prevent disabilities, care for people with disabilities and guide them on their way to autonomy and integration into society. Handicap International also supports vulnerable people in emergencies such as natural disasters and armed conflicts.
