Hemayat is a nonprofit association.

The Hemayat Association was founded in 1995 and has established itself in Vienna as a center for the interpretation-based medical, psychological, psychotherapeutic and interpretation-based care of torture and war survivors. As the only special facility for torture and war survivors, Hemayat supplies clients from Vienna. In addition, Hemayat is networked with other integration facilities in Vienna and its special services are available to other NGOs, federal and state agencies and hospitals.

Since the foundation of Hemayat, there has been a steady increase in care services.
