About

The origins of Hero Group can be traced to 1956 when Hero Cycles Limited was established by the Munjal brothers, namely Dayanand Munjal, Satyanand Munjal, Brijmohan Lall Munjal and O. P. Munjal. Hero has since become synonymous with two-wheelers in India. Hero MotoCorp (Formerly Hero Honda Motors Ltd.) is the world’s largest manufacturer of two wheelers. In India, it holds a 42% share of the market. Hero Cycles, too, is a dominant force in its field and has been the world’s largest manufacturer of cycles since 1984. Hero Group’s other ventures include steel, energy, realty, corporate training and financial and consumer services.

The Munjal family, promoters of BML Munjal University, have a distinguished track record in the fields of primary education, higher secondary education, medical education, skill training and corporate mentoring since 1964. Through its various initiatives, the Munjal family has educated and empowered over 2,00,000 students in India.
