The Hong Kong Society for Rehabilitation (HKSR) is a government recognized charitable organization established in 1959. The emblem of HKSR embraces the legend of the vibrant phoenix which foretells a bright future for persons with disabilities, overcoming their disabilities to rebuild their lives. The lively and vigorous phoenix also highlights the character of the Society: dynamic, committed and farsighted.
HKSR has established currently 30 service centres in Hong Kong and the Mainland China. In 2015-2016, they provided over 1.5 million units of responsive and quality services in Accessible Transport and Travel, Rehabilitation and Long Term Care for persons with disabilities, chronic illnesses, and older persons.
They aspire to be an organization of excellence in barrier free transport, chronic & long-term care and holistic rehabilitation.
Through rehabilitation services for persons with disabilities and older persons, they advocate an inclusive society.
