About

PALANG Merah Indonesia (PMI) is a national association organization in Indonesia that is engaged in the field of social humanity.

PMI always has the Seven Basic Principles of the International Movement for the Red Cross and Red Crescent namely Humanity, Equality, Volunteerism, Independence, Unity, Neutrality and Universality. Until now PMI has been in 34 Regional PMI (provincial level) and around 408 Branch PMI (city / district level) throughout Indonesia.

The Indonesian Red Cross does not favor certain political, racial, ethnic or religious groups. The Indonesian Red Cross in its implementation also did not make distinctions but prioritized victims who most needed immediate assistance for the safety of their souls.
