About

The Brazilian Institute of Municipal Administration - IBAM is a non-profit civil association, created on October 1, 1952, with headquarters in Rio de Janeiro. Its foundation received the support of municipal associations and movements related to Brazilian municipalism.

IBAM operates both in Brazil and abroad, with a strong presence in Latin America and in Portuguese-speaking African countries.

Mission

The mission of the IBAM is to promote - on the basis of ethics, transparency and without party political bond - the institutional development of the Public Administration, especially the municipal one, to strengthen its capacity to formulate policies, provide services and foster development, aiming at a democratic and fair.
