Inter-Religious Council in Bosnia and Herzegovina
Inter-Religious Council in Bosnia and Herzegovina
About

The Inter-Religious Council in BiH was established in 1997 by a joint effort by reisu-l-ulema Mustafa ef. Ceric, Islamic Community in BiH, Metropolitan Nicholas of the Dabrosian, Serbian Orthodox Church, Vincent of Cardinal Puljic, Roman Catholic Church and Mr. Jacob Fincia, Jewish Community of BiH.

The original idea for the creation of the Council, which first came into being under this name in the world, was reconciliation among the peoples in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where only a year and a half before the Council was formed war raged.

With the emergence of the Inter-religious Council in BiH, numerous inter-religious projects are launched, through which reconciliation and the construction of civil society through inter-religious dialogue are initiated - which becomes the guiding principle of the Inter-religious Council in BiH.

Through numerous experiences of concrete problems in the field, project ideas that are receptive to our territories are born and the Inter-religious Council becomes a trademark for inter-religious dialogue in the region.

The Inter-Religious Council in BiH acts as a domestic, non-governmental organization that is not superstitious but a body through which the goodwill of traditional churches and religious communities manifests, to join forces to contribute to building civil society in areas where the influence of churches and religious communities is undeniable.
