About

The  Jô Clemente Institute is a non-profit Civil Society Organization that prevents and promotes the health of people with intellectual disabilities, supports their social inclusion, focuses on defending their rights, producing and disseminating knowledge. It acts from birth to the aging process, providing the development of skills and potential that favor education and supported employment, in addition to offering legal advice to families about the rights of people with intellectual disabilities.

Pioneer in the Pezinho Test in Brazil and accredited by the Ministry of Health as a Reference Service in Neonatal Screening, the Laboratory of the Jô Clemente Institute is the largest in Latin America in tests performed. Through the Teaching, Research, and Innovation Center, the Organization generates and disseminates scientific knowledge about intellectual efficiency through research and training courses.

Promote the prevention and full inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities in society, through:
