KMUTNB was established from the cooperation between Thai Government and the Federal Republic of Germany. It was known as the “North Bangkok Technical School” but generally called “Thai-German Technical School.”

Mission
King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok had organized the project of King Mongkut's Institute of Technology North Bangkok, Prachinburi Campus. The objective is to expand the opportunities in science and technology to Prachinburi Province and the nearby region, including research, training development and transfer technology to the community and the industry sectors. The site is located in the land of the Royal Thai Army, 129 Moo 6, Nong Hom Sub-District, Muang District, Prachinburi Province. The area is adjacent to Provincial Highway No. 307, the route up to Khao Yai National Park, in 1,233 rai. At the moment, the study programs are provided by Faculty of Technology and Industrial Management, Faculty of Agro-Industry, Faculty of Engineering, and Faculty of Applied Science
