They believe the most effective way to achieve policy change is by supporting and strengthening local policy actors. They are best placed to develop policy solutions which will work in their political environment. They understand how change happens - and does not happen - in their context. Our role is to work with our partners by using their local expertise and knowledge, and our extensive experience of policy-making and policy-influencing, to help them to bring about the change they want to see. They use a model of 'peer-to-peer' support to strengthen think tanks, governments and other organisations interested in influencing and improving public policy.
