“Labrys” is a grassroots platform for advancement and protection of the human rights of LGBTIQA people in Kyrgyzstan and Central Asia equipped with advocacy instruments moved by different generations of activists.

MISSION

Their mission is to achieve equal rights, justice and non-discrimination for LGBTIQA communities based on their needs, by empowering and giving voice to their communities, through protection of their rights and freedoms founded on common human values.

GOAL

Their main goal is to improve the quality of life of LGBTIQA communities in Kyrgyzstan and Central Asia.

They are working towards reaching this aim by working in the following directions:
1. Provision of direct support to their communities based on grassroots approach;
2. Empowerment of their communities by creating conditions for their voices to be heard, providing information and opportunities;
3. Changing the negative socio-political discourse through working with the system and existing practices;
4. Strengthening organizational capacities by improving its planning and monitoring practices, cultivating a culture of care an
