About

LifeSpring is the premier provider of mental health and primary care services in southern Indiana.  LifeSpring provides a comprehensive array of mental health and primary care services: education, prevention, information, assessment, intervention, and treatment.

Their professional providers are physicians, nurse practitioners, psychiatrists, psychologists, clinical social workers, nurses, licensed and master level therapists, counselors, care and case managers, and support personnel.  Using a team approach, they tailor a specific program for each individual.

They are committed to building and nurturing strong partnerships, working closely with the medical community, social service and mental health agencies, schools, governmental and justice officials, churches, community organizations, and individuals.  Their goal is to provide the least restrictive, most supportive services appropriate to each participant’s needs.

LifeSpring’s mission is “to improve and sustain the quality of life in their communities by providing comprehensive behavioral health, addiction, primary care and related services.”  Their values are, “It is their privilege to serve, with the highest quality of care, in a professional and fiscally responsible manner.”

LifeSpring is a 501(c)(3), not-for-profit Community Mental Health Center which began as a small outpatient clinic for children in the city of Jeffersonville, Indiana in 1964.  In 1970, with the help of a federal grant, the agency moved to a larger facility.  Between 1973 and 1999, the agency continued to grow and satellite offices were opened in the surrounding counties of Floyd, Harrison, Jefferson, Scott, and Washington.  In 1976, the Center was approved as a Medicaid and Medicare provider.  In 1995, LifeSpring added School Outreach Services and Home Based Services for children.  Currently LifeSpring operates two supervised group living homes for adults suffering from severe mental illnesses, developmental problems, and substance abuse.

In 2002, LifeSpring purchased, remodeled, updated and preserved four historic buildings in downtown Jeffersonville and in 2003, LifeSpring moved their Administrative, Children & Families Services, Medical and Adult Services to these facilities.  LifeSpring has 15 facilities in Clark, Floyd, Harrison, Jefferson, Scott, and Washington Counties.  Programs serving the largest number of clients are the Substance Abuse Program and the Children and Families Services Program.

LifeSpring is proud to be your first choice for care since 1964.
