Louis Genève S.A. was founded on July 1st, 1976 by master carpenter Mr. Louis Genève, in Vernier, along with 5 employees in his carpentry deparment.
In 1985 Mr. Louis Genève bought the Pansier company headquarters in order to establish his business in Bernex.
Throughout the '80s, the company worked on large-scale carpentry projects and employed 65 people.
In 1997, they hired a young joiner, Mr. Nunez, and launched a joinery department in response to market demands.
By 2000, the joinery department had developed and grown to the same size as the carpentry department. The company employed 32 workers over these two departments.
In 2004, Louis Genève S.A. moved from Bernex to its actual location in the industrial zone on Chemin de la Verseuse in Aïre - Le Lignon and became a public limited company.
In 2012, the company changed hands. Mr. Genève gave the reins of his business over to a long-time employee and the manager of the joinery department, Mr. Fernando Nunez, who became the new director. Mr. Genève stayed on in an administrative position.
In 2015, the company began an internal reform of its workshops and acquired new carpentry and joinery equipment.
In 2016, the company continued this transformation by bringing its administrative locations up to date, in order to improve the quality of services it is able provide for its clients.
Within the wide range of woodworking services we provide, Louis Genève S.A. professionals specialize in designated heritage site renovations (and renovations of other buildings of strong historical importance).
They also pride theirselves on their window restorations and glazing for these sites, which do not change the original aesthetic.
