The Malawi Girl Guides Association is strictly a voluntary, non-political, non-religious and self-governing. It is open to all girls and young women without distinction of creed, race, nationality, or any other circumstances. Anyone who belongs to MAGGA accepts the “PROMISE” and “THE LAW” of the Movement which are based on the spiritual and moral values, personal development and commitment to helping others.

The diverse Movement represents the population of adolescent girls and young women in Malawi who forms 51 % of the total population. For more than 15 years, Girl Guiding has transformed the lives of girls and young women in the country, supporting and empowering them to achieve their fullest potential and become responsible citizens.
