Political Science is one of the most popular majors at Marquette University. Students find our courses challenging, engaging, and beneficial to their careers. To declare a major in Political Science, come to the Department Office in 468 William Wehr any time during business hours. Major requirements include 33 hours of courses in any of four tracks. Additionally, the 33 credits must include two writing development courses. Minors require 18 hours. We offer teaching majors and minors. Many of our students attend the Les Aspin Center in Washington, D.C. We have internship opportunities. We also offer a five year BA–MA in political science and international affairs. The honors society for political science students is Pi Sigma Alpha.
