Memoria Abierta is an alliance of Argentine human rights organizations that promotes the memory of human rights violations of the recent past, actions of resistance and struggles for truth and justice, to reflect on the present and strengthen democracy.
To this end, Memoria Abierta catalogs and gives access to various institutional and personal archives; produces audiovisual interviews that make up an Oral Archive; it contributes to give visibility to the sites used in the repression through various tools and registers; elaborates thematic resources for dissemination and educational purposes from research, seeking to promote debates on the ways of narrating what happened and collaborates, from the specificity of their tasks, with the performance of justice.
