The Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Authority (AMPYME) was created through Law No. 8 of May 29, 2000, being reformed by Law No. 72 of November 9, 2009, as an autonomous state entity, with its own assets, governing body for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), responsible for creating the conditions for the development of the MSME sector, due to its multi-sector nature and ability to generate employment.
