In accordance with the Presidential Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number 17 of 2015 concerning the Ministry of Agrarian and Spatial Planning, the Ministry of Agrarian and Spatial Planning (ATR) has the task of organizing government affairs in the field of agrarian / land and spatial planning to assist the President in carrying out state governance.
In carrying out its duties, the ATR Ministry organizes functions:
- formulation, stipulation, and implementation of policies in spatial planning, diagrammatic / land infrastructure, administrative / land law relations, agrarian / land management, land acquisition, control of spatial use and land tenure, and handling agrarian / land issues, land use, and land ;
- coordinating the implementation of tasks, fostering and providing administrative support to all elements of the organization within the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning;
- management of state property / wealth which is the responsibility of the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning;
- supervision of the implementation of duties within the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning;
- implementation of technical guidance and supervision of the implementation of affairs of the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning in the regions; and
- implementation of substantive support to all organizational elements within the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning.
The National Land Agency (BPN) is a Non-Ministerial Government Institution that is under and is responsible to the President and chaired by the Head. (In accordance with Presidential Regulation No. 63 of 2013)
The National Land Agency has the task of carrying out government tasks in the land sector nationally, regionally and sectorally in accordance with the provisions of the legislation.

- The sustainability of the Indonesian community, national and state system by providing the widest possible access to future generations of land as a source of community welfare. Strengthening land institutions in accordance with the spirit, spirit, principles and rules set out in the LoGA and broader people's aspirations.
