Duties and functions of the Ministry The main tasks of the Ministry are: Introduce comprehensive modernization of the agricultural and food security sector, introduction of scientific and technical achievements in agriculture, modern and intensive agro-technologies, resource-saving, best practices; Coordination of activities of state bodies, economic administration bodies and other organizations in the field of food security of the Republic of Uzbekistan; Increasing the export potential of the economy through the development of competitive products, conducting in-depth marketing research on market conditions, attracting foreign investment and unconditional technical assistance (grants); organization of formation of agricultural and food stocks in the amount necessary to provide the population with stable prices throughout the year and continuously; Ensuring deep processing of agricultural products, improvement of public-private partnership mechanisms, as well as encouraging the participation of business entities in the socio-economic development of the regions; Consistent and sustainable development of agriculture, ensuring food security of the country, increasing employment and incomes of the rural population, maintaining and maintaining a stable level of food prices in the domestic market; systematic integration of education, science and agricultural production, training and retraining of personnel, taking into account the current and future needs of highly qualified specialists in the agricultural sector.
