The Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic (hereinafter referred to as the Ministry) is the central body of the executive power that conducts state policy and exercises management in the field of education and science and state control over the accessibility and quality of education, and ensuring the constitutional right of citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic to education.
The Ministry in its activity is guided by the Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic, laws of the Kyrgyz Republic, decrees and orders of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, resolutions and orders of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, this Regulation, as well as international treaties that entered into force in accordance with the established procedure, to which the Kyrgyz Republic is a party.
The Ministry carries out its activities in cooperation with other bodies of executive power, local self-government, public associations, scientific and other organizations.
The Ministry is a legal entity, it has a seal with the image of the State Emblem of the Kyrgyz Republic and its name in the state and official languages, has an independent balance sheet, settlement and other accounts in the Treasury system of the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic and property assigned to it.
The main goal of the Ministry is to formulate the state policy in the field of education, science and scientific and technical activities.
