The Ministry of Environment (MiAMBIENTE) fulfills its mission to determine policies for the conservation, protection and restoration of the environment and for the participatory and sustainable use of Panama's natural resources. The sustainable use of resources is an effective way to provide benefits to communities, while developing conservation projects. Community and development projects, besides being sustainable, must generate resources to protect the environment.
