The Ministry of Health has the mission of defending, protecting and promoting the health of the population through the planning and implementation of Public Health policies, ensuring universal and equal access to quality and quantitative adequate health care services by the National Health System, as well as regulating the operation and supervision of private health care providers.

The Ministry of Health is the government ministry responsible for the governance and guidance of the health, healthcare and health industry of Samoa.
