The powers of the Ministry of the Interior in the political field have been transferred to other authorities, structures and bodies, as follows:

• The powers relating to the elections have been transferred to the independent higher body for the elections by virtue of the decree -law n ° 2011-27 of April 18, 2011, creating an independent higher body for the elections, and under article 126 of the constitution of January 27, 2014
• he powers relating to the constitution of political parties and associations have been transferred to the services of the Presidency of the Government by virtue respectively of the decree-law n ° 2011-87 of September 24, 2011, on the organization of political parties and the decree-law n ° 2011-88 of September 24, 2011, on the organization of associations.
• The powers relating to the publication of periodicals have been transferred to the courts of first instance by virtue of decree-law n ° 2011-115 of 2 November 2011, relating to the freedom of the press, printing and publishing .
• The mission of preserving legal deposit has been transferred to the services of the Presidency of the Government in charge of information by virtue of Decree n ° 2014-59 of January 7, 2014, setting out the registration and legal deposit procedures.
