TOURISM

• Develop, implement and evaluate the tourism development strategy;

•  Carry out the studies and surveys necessary for the development of tourism at both national and regional level;

• Prepare draft laws and organizational texts relating to tourist activities and ensure their application;

• Supervise and ensure support for professions and tourist activities in accordance with the regulations in force;

• Guide and control decentralized services and assess the means necessary for their management

• Participate in the development and management of the hotel and tourism training strategy;
• Supervise training establishments under the Ministry of Tourism;

• Ensure the establishment and strengthening of relations within the framework of bilateral cooperation as well as with specialized organizations;

• Ensure the supervision of establishments under the Ministry of Tourism.

CRAFTS AND SOCIAL ECONOMY

The government authority in charge of handicrafts prepares and implements government policy relating to the handicraft sector.

• Execution of the craft sector development strategy;
• The economic animation of craft businesses;
• Carrying out all studies, surveys and statistics relating to the craft sector, at national and regional level;
• The establishment and execution of action programs within the framework of international cooperation likely to contribute to the development of the sector
• supports it to the craft chambers and their federation and ensures the follow-up of their activities.
• Exercise supervision over public establishments falling within the remit of the craft sector

DEPARTMENT OF VOCATIONAL TRAINING AND CONTINUING EDUCATION OF CRAFTSMEN

• Implement and monitor the execution of the vocational training policy and programs at the level of vocational training establishments in the craft sector and adapt them to the needs of the latter in coordination with the government authority responsible for professional training ;
• Contribute, in coordination with the craft chambers, to the preparation, implementation and evaluation of apprenticeship training programs.
• Monitor and evaluate the activities of training establishments in the craft sector;
• Identify and meet the needs of vocational training establishments in terms of human resources, budget and materials, in coordination with the resources and information systems department;
• Develop and implement continuing training programs for artisans, in coordination with the heritage preservation, innovation and promotion department.
• Develop programs and activities in the field of vocational training aimed at the preservation of craft trades threatened with extinction.
