Founded by a group of young Moroccan journalists, whose good age has given the breath and the strength to build a framework that allows them to express their expectations, aspire and inspire national organizations to change and promote reform, thus, the Moroccan Forum of Young Journalists was born on March 25, 2017.

The initiative was born following several factors and challenges encountered in the press sector in Morocco, such as the lack of representativeness of young journalists in the media. unions and consequently the absence of a medium allowing them to communicate their grievances.

Immediately, the forum deploys enormous skills and efforts that provide it, in a span of time, a huge impact with various media organizations and institutions in Morocco.

This Moroccan non-governmental organization, whose strong motivation is to promote reform in the press environment, has in its body more than 100 Moroccan journalists spread across the various media.

Driven by enthusiasm and the will to contribute to the improvement of the Moroccan media sector and to promote the press professions in Morocco, the forum intends to fertilize the media environment through a detailed program based on following missions:

• Strengthen the capacities of journalists and student journalists and improve their skills.

• Contribute to the training of student journalists and to the continuing education of journalists

• Contribute to the preparation and evaluation of public policies related to the media sector

• Advocacy for legislation governing the work of journalists and media professionals

• Defend press freedom and the right of access to information
