As one of the first locally registered engineering consulting companies in Myanmar, MMIC was established in 2012 by Phnom Penh International Consultants Ltd. (PPIC) – a Khmer German Joint Venture Company and is through this part of the global network of the Germany‐based Gauff Consultants. The founders of MMIC are professional international engineering consulting companies with profound project experience in multi‐disciplinary infrastructure projects all over the world. To draw on these resources will enable MMIC to solve various tasks of different complexity levels on the local market.

Though recently formed, the Chairman of MMIC U Thoung Win (Colonel retired from Army Defense Industries) is an experienced Mechanical Engineer who worked in the Myanmar Industrial sector for over 37 years in the fields of R & D, Production, Project Planning, Industrial Planning and SME Development.
