The N'weti is a Mozambican non-profit organization dedicated to communication for health that aims to contribute to better health of citizens and Mozambican communities. The N'weti is a pioneer in communication for social and behavioral change in Mozambique. It offers a world-class communication through interventions integrated multi-media (TV, Radio & printed), social mobilization and advocacy and monitoring of governance, with particular attention to gender and human rights.
Health definition of N'weti is based on the concept of the World Health Organization (WHO) explaining that health promotion needs to be addressed as a product of multi-sectoral initiatives. These include the creation and promotion of a healthy environment conducive to making informed decisions; advocacy (including monitoring of governance) for the creation of legal frameworks, public health policies and the promotion of human rights; Community measures for creating favorable environment for change, as well as the development of personal skills and reorienting health services to an approach to the promotion of human rights.
