About

NEWJEC Inc. was established in 1963 as a subsidiary of The Kansai Electric Power Co., Inc. is an investor-owned electric utilities in the world.

NEWJEC has a competitive advantage in the electric utility market as it specializes in engineering and consultancy services for a broad range of power projects, such as hydroelectric, fossil thermal, nuclear, cogeneration and waste-to-energy plants, and transmission, distribution and communication systems.

Since its establishments, however, NEWJEC has strengthened its capabilities in various fields of engineering, such as civil, geotechnical, architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, informative, and relative specialized fields, and has evolved through many phases of difficulties, growth and expansion to become one of the foremost multidisciplinary consulting firm in Japan.

Working in 10 engineering groups and 36 specialized technical teams, a professional staff of its highly trained engineers, consultants, architects and experts in various discipliners is ready to assist clients in Japan and anywhere in the world in an integrated program of investigation, planning, potential and pre-investment studies, detailed engineering and design, construction supervision and project management.

NEWJEC allows each specialist department complete control over its own particular fields of activity or the option of joining with other departments to form multidisciplinary teams capable of handling a vast range of projects.

With the ever-increasing complexity and sophistication of today’s engineering needs, while on the other hand with a growing public awareness of environmental concerns on a global basis, it is highly essential for NEWJEC to keep an eye fixed on the horizons of technology to achieve future engineering excellence for the benefit of people and society everywhere.

On the occasion of the change of the company’s name from the New Japan Engineering Consultants, Inc., as from October 1, 1991, NEWJEC renewed its corporate concept and management objectives, with which to assert formally our strong commitment to fulfilling the social responsibility from a global point of view as a responsible consulting firm to meet the changing engineering needs.

NEWJEC has established company-wide organizations called "Quality Management System (in 1996) and Environmental Management System (in 2000)" for the purposes of overseeing the present state of quality management and environment preservation.

NEWJEC is focusing its future on its proven expertise and resources - an ability to deliver quality services in a broad range of engineering disciplines.
