About

The Norwegian Agency for International Cooperation and Quality Enhancement in Higher Education (Diku) aims to strengthen the quality of Norwegian education. We promote development and innovation, international cooperation and digital learning.

Diku is the result of a merger between the Centre for International Cooperation in Education (SIU), the Norwegian Agency for Digital Learning in Higher Education (Norgesuniversitetet), and the Norwegian Artistic Research Programme (PKU).

It is Norway’s official agency for international programmes and measures related to education.

The Agency is owned by the Ministry of Education and Research, and is also working for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the European Commission, and the Nordic Council of Ministers.

Diku’s mission

Diku aims to promote quality in universities and university colleges, tertiary vocational education and artistic research through national and international incentive schemes, as well as enhance quality through internationalisation in primary and secondary education.

Headquartered in Bergen, Diku also has an office in Tromsø and a total of about 120 employees.
