Energy & Environment

Partnership International supports government agencies in setting up enabling policy and institutional frameworks designed to attract private sector investments. The lack of affordable and reliable energy is a major hindrance to the economic and social development of many countries. Partnership International also assists private sector clients in identifying, developing and financing power projects for on-grid and off-grid purposes.

Partnership International works closely with the World Bank and other implementation agencies such as the Global Environment Facility (GEF) to design and manage programs in the Climate Change sector. We also support private sector clients with environmental & social impact assessments (ESIA) and mitigation strategies for the projects related to our other practices in the energy, telecom and transportation sectors.

Our energy & environmental practice covers the following sectors:

-Renewable Energy

-Power Grids

-Environmental and Social Impact Assessment

Information and Communication Technologies (ICT)

Partnership International expert consultants have extensive experience in the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) sector, having worked for world-class operators, start-ups, venture capitalists and government regulators worldwide. Our principals and lead experts have directly managed successful Postal/Telecommunication transition efforts to reform the regulatory and institutional frameworks, encourage private sector participation, and develop business and technical plans for national backbones, mobile networks and wireless local access.

Deregulation of the telecom sector in developing countries has allowed businesses, entrepreneurs, farmers, and families to communicate more efficiently and cost-effectively. After the success of telecom operators in emerging countries, governments have increasingly come to realize that they can achieve greater economic efficiency and improve national productivity by creating a favorable regulatory climate, restructuring state-owned enterprises, and developing strategies and mechanisms to promote greater private sector participation in the ICT sector
