Puget Sound Sage is an organization led by majority women of color that is accountable to and serves the interests of low-income people, communities of color, immigrants and refugees in the Puget Sound region of Washington State. In particular, they focus on Seattle, South King County, North Pierce County. They advocate for policy change at the local and regional level, where they believe community voice can have the most impact.
They have been a leading voice in the Puget Sound region over the last decade to ensure that all people thrive as our region grows and prospers.
What makes Puget Sound Sage unique is that they work at the intersection of three elements critical to creating an equitable region: good jobs, a clean, healthy environment, and equitable development.
By connecting the dots between these issues, they are more effective at systems change, innovation and engagement of communities.
They bring their expertise in strategic research, policy analysis, community organizing and coalition building to win local and regional campaigns that advance economic, racial and environmental justice. They support leadership development of people from their communities to be the future of their movement.
