T&E is the principal environmental organisation campaigning on sustainable transport at the EU level in Brussels.

Established in 1990, their primary focus is on European transport and environmental policy but their work in Brussels is supported by 49 member organisations working in 27 countries to promote an environmentally sound approach to transport. Their main work areas at the moment are cars and CO2, low carbon fuels, transport noise, road charging for lorries, aviation and shipping. T&E is an NGO in Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations.

T&E covers all modes of transport: cars, vans, trucks, trains, planes, ships. All the energy that powers them. And the infrastructure they use.

Credibility is their key asset. They are non-profit and politically independent, and they are strong believers in the power of science and evidence in policymaking.
