Kim is a media that adheres to the standards of professional and independent journalism in accordance with international and local ethical codes, as well as the right of every citizen to the truth and objective information.
Radio Kim was created in a period of almost complete isolation of Serbian communities and media in Kosovo. In the period 1999-2000, there is a serious lack of objective information in the Serbian language, as well as reporting on local events. Broadcasting of the radio program began in December 2000, while broadcasting of the television program began in May 2013. Support for the establishment of our media was provided by the governments of the United States of America, Great Britain, Canada and Germany. In addition to the aforementioned foreign embassies, which until now have remained our main donors, support for the radio was also provided by the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), the Balkan Trust for Democracy (BTD), USAID, the Kosovo Fund for an Open Society (KFOS), the embassies of Norway, Finland and Switzerland in Pristina, IREX, UNDP, UNFPA and many others.
Accurate and verified information, speed of reporting, presence at events and investigative journalism contributed to the fact that the most important media and agencies in the country and the region cooperate with our media and the information is quoted and transmitted. In addition to the informative program, shows on culture, music, service information, content on displaced persons and returnees are broadcast.
Kim is a member and one of the most important program producers in the Kosma network. Kosma or Kosovo Media Association www.kosmainfo.net is an association of radio stations from different regions in Kosovo that produce a joint information program.
