The Criminal Justice Network is composed by seven organizations who promote advocacy initiatives seeking to disseminate information and promote the public debate, to develop and take forward proposals before the criminal justice system’s actors and together with civil society in the following areas Open Criminal Justice Data, Rights and Guarantees and Institutional Violence.
Created in 2010, the Criminal Justice Network is a group that comprises eight Brazilians non-governamental organizations. The Network aims to influence debates regarding the criminal justice system. The ongoing coordination between CESeC, Conectas, IDDD, DDH, Instituto Sou da Paz, ITTC, GAJOP, and Justiça Global allows for the exchange of experiences, collaboration amongst organizations with different expertises and a joint impulse torwards shared objectives. As a result, the Criminal Justice Network develops a priority action agenda, monitors bills and policies in the area of criminal justice and undertakes advocacy activities before the Legislative and Executive branches, and together with civil society.
