REKAM Nusantara was founded by a pool of environmental media experts, and wildlife and marine diversity researchers.  Through its films, researches, communication, campaigns and education, REKAM Nusantara wishes to disseminate information to a wide range of groups as part of its responsibility to foster public awareness of biodiversity and its potential, as well as disseminating information on local knowledge possessed by the diverse ethnic groups across Indonesia.

The founders, who possess expertise in media and research, share common spirit and thought: the significance of preserving Indonesia’s nature and culture. These six individuals with diverse scientific backgrounds collaborate to dedicate their expertise to raising public awareness and concern about Indonesia’s nature and cultural preservation, in particular among the youth – the future of the nation. We package this in various kinds of messages.
